OWH S&S Midweek Throwdown - Recipe Challenge

This week's challenge is a recipe challenge to make a card using a die cut or punch, ribbon and heat or dry embossing!

I started making this card as a sample card for my voluntary cardmakers for OWH Cardmaking Party on this Sunday, August 29th at Elk Grove Grocery Outlet Conference Room.

First I didn't really understand the term Recipe Challenge.  Maybe I am not qualified for this challenge because I didn't add a ribbon or embossing on this card.  I used small circle punch for matching circles to the design of patterned paper though.  I am not quite happy how the color of Ciara's body part turned out that didn't blend well.  Well.... next time I will do better.  My card base is SU's Concord Crush although it looks like almost black in the photo.  I sponged the edges witht the same color ink.

The Ciara digital image and the sentiment are drawn by Sandy just for OWH.  You can find it HERE.

UPDATE:  I mane another one to be qualified for this challenge.  I think this one will be a good one, too, for the Cardmaking Party.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh my goodness, these are soo cute. I need to get busy using more of these little guys. TFS.

  2. Great job, keep practicing coloring that pup and you'll be happy with it! I think your cards turned out nicely and the ladies are going to love reproducing them at the party! Thanks for playing along with us at Operation Write Home!

  3. Both cards are just as sweet as can be!

  4. I love how you used your small circles for accents.

I hope you enjoy visiting my blog. Please leave your parting thoughts.
