Fairy Merry Christmas April 2010

I made these 5 cards for Christmas Cards All Year 'Round challenge -make a Christmas card with at least ONE soft pastel color on it. (could be baby blue, soft pink, pale yellow or pale green).  You can do 5 of the same cards or 5 different ones.  I used all four colors for my cards. 

I embossed the pink paper with Cuttlebug EF - snowflakes and punched the border of yellow strip with MS snowflakes border punch.  I added Tinkerbell punch-out to match the sentiment.  I love this punch although I haven't find many chances to use it.  The sentiment is from Pik Cat Studio.

OWH Cards Ready to Ship ...

... for Make someone's day Challenge. 

Thanks to my OWH Cardmaking Group at work for their great support and contribution as always!  I am posting these photos of cards for them so that they can see what they made and inspire others, too. I designed each card, cut papers and colored images for them to assemble in a less than an hour during lunch time.  It is a challenge for them to come on those hectic days.  However, they are happy to help and have fun, too.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #1 - "just a note to say hello"

I made this card for Sentimental Sundays Challenge #1.  I used one of  "the Basics" sentiment set from Raindrop Echo Designs.  I really like this sentiment.   By the way, the challenge was to use flowers.  Well... frankly speaking, I forgot to put a flower on my card.  However, I want claim that the flowery border punch will do.  And the striking color combination of this card with the bold sentiment is more than enough I hope. 

 

I made more of them for the Operation Write Home with friends at work.

Stars & Stripes Bee - SNB Sketch Challenge #3

 I made this card to enter Strech N Bubbles Sketch Challenge #3 based on the sketch below.  I used the Stars & Stripes Bee Digital Stamp from SNB.  I colored it with Bic Mark.It markers.  I used the border punch from Fiskars that Joanie donated for the Operation Write Home Cardmaking at work.  I didn't put any sentiment yet.  Maybe I can put "Bee Happy" later.

CARDS FOR MEN, OWH S&S Stash Challenges - King of the Grill Happy Father's Day Easel Card

I made this card for CARDS FOR MEN Challenge No. 8 this week.  I just found out this site and thought that I would give it a try since creating cards for men has been always a challenge for me.  Also I wanted to get inspired by other cardmaker's creative cards for men.  I used the focal image from one of the Clip Art sites for free.  This challenge's theme is Fancy Folds - anything other than a basic bi-fold card so I made an easel card.  The card size is 4 3/4" x 4 3/4".

I am also entering in the OWH S&S Stash Challenge: Hardware.  Hardware is any metal embellishment including brads, eyelets, hinges, photo corners, paper clips, ribbon slides, bookplates, photo hangers, edge anchors or other metal charms.  I used brads for each corner of my card front.

Thinking of You - OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #13

I made this card for the OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #13 this week. 

I used "Thinking of You..." sentiment from Digi Kitty and the flower image "Daisy 1" from D.M. Rice Artwork on the CARD Making Challenges Blog.  This is Debi's first drawing and she is offering it as a freebie for OWH cardmakers. For the heart, I stamped a heart stamp on the pink card stock with Rose Bud Memento Inkpad and punched it out with smaller sized heart punch.

A Stack Happy Birthday Cards

I made these cards based on the tutorial presented by Lora Stamps.  Instructions are easy to follow and you can make 8 cards in a short time.  She showed 8 different ways to lay out however, I chose a couple only for this time because of my focal image is side way.  I used the digital image from Mel Jen's Designs.  I colored it with Bic Mark.It markers and drew the white line on the balloons with white gel pen.

SNB Sketch Challenge #1 & #2

I made this card based on the SNB Sketch Challenge #1 although I missed entering it.  I wanted to play along with the Strech N Bubbles Sketch Challenges from the first one.  I used Alison's "Little Bird" image. 

This card is for this week's SNB Sketch Challenge #2.  I used Alison's new image "Batter Bobby" which is perfect match to this patterned paper that Kathy got for me to create boy cards for the OWH.  I colored his skin with color pencil even though it doesn't show very well in the photo.

It was such a beautiful day today.  David and I went to see the boat show and look what I found!  This one big b-e-a-u-tiful rose.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  I am going to print it out and use it as a focal image of my cards.
