OWH Cardmaking Session With Girl Scout Troop 4151

I was so excited to meet with the gilrs in person who have been sending me Any Hero mails for OWH.  Deborah K. is Co-Leader of the Girl Scout Troop 4151, Northern California who has been organizing this event for us.  Thanks to Heidi, Deborah's daughter, who provided her home for our session.  We had eight girls and two adults.  Susan, my personal hero, Air Force Vet., helped me to make it happen. Susan and I made 50 card kits to cover one card for heroes to write back home, one card for Any Heroes with messages and one card for make and take. They are so excited and enjoyed making cards for the heroes.  Writing thank you messages to heroes seemed to be very natural for them as I was watching.  So impressive.

This is a Any Hero card that I cased based on the OWH Scketch #142. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches that turned out perfect as I combined two sentiments in a circle.  This will be an entry to ODBD October Challenge, too.  Oh, I love this card.

More cards to add to a box of OWH cards

I made more cards to add to a box of OWH cards while I have been taking care of my husband who had his knee surgery four days ago.  He is recovering gradually.  Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for him and myself.

Here I hope you will enjoy my cards.

OWH Cardmaking Party - Oct. 14, 2012

Thanks to Carla. Thanks to everyone - Susan and Mom, Janet, Tricia.

Carla made this Smilebox for today's OWH Cardmaking Party. It is awesome. She even included a short video of my ribbon tutorial. What a fun day today.

Please click the link and enjoy watching.

This is a showcase of cards that we made/received for the Troops.  I am so grateful for all your support and friendship.

This first set of cards are created by my new OWH Cardmaker, Betty W. at work.  She worked so hard to meet OWH quality expectations.  It turned out so beautiful.  Betty, I am so proud of you.
