OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #27 - Thank You

I made this card for OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #27 and also for Any Hero card sample for OWH Cardmaking Day on Sunday, August 8th with a group of students who volunteered to make cards for our heroes with me.  I used Stampin' Up stamp set for the focal image and the sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs.  I stamped star images on the card base (Poppy Parade card stock and ink) and embossed the layers (Concord Crush and Whisper White card stock) with Cuttlebug Star embossing folder.  I added the punched out stars at both ends of white strip.  I sponged all the edges.

Here is the sketch.  For my card, I rotated the sketch.

Thinking of You

I made this card for my friend and also to post at Stampin' Addicts.  I used Stampin' Up cardstock (Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Peaar Pizzazz), stampset (Silhouette Sentiments), Ink (Perfect Plum because I didn't have Rich Razzleberry), Embossing Folder (Elegant Lines) and Two-Step Bird Extra Large Punch.

OWH Cardmaking Day - Sunday, July 25, 2010

It was our second time OWH Cardmaking Day today at the Elk Grove Grocery Outlet.  Jason and Kathy, Owner and Operators of the store allowed us to use their Conference Room for free to make cards for our heroes.  So grateful!   We made total 98 cards for our heroes.  What a great job done!  Thanks to all who participated in today's cardmaking - Kathy, Joanie, Janet, Xiaoping, Christina. and Jordan.

For Hello, Happy Birthday, Make a wish, Elephants cards, I used the colored version of digital images from SJ's Little Musings.  For Merry Christmas, Evil face punch art, and Happy Halloween cards, I used Cuttlebug Embossing folders.  Jordan (Kathy's 10 years old grandson) was a big help to do it.  He even chose the colors of evil face punch art card and punched out the shapes and glued the eyes by himself.  He said he will come next month, too.  Yeah~

OWH S&S Sketch #26 - a thought for you

Good Morning!

Thanks for leaving welcome back comments on my post yesterday.  I am sorry that I couldn't visit and leave my thank you notes to everyone's blog since I have a limit of prolonged sitting or standing because of my chronic back pain.  I do really appreciate everyone's creations and inspirations as always.  I will do my best to catch up.

Before I start another week, I wanted to complete my card for OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #26.  This is my card based on the sketch that Rhonda presented.  What a great sketch!  The focal image is a colored version of digi stamp from Fred, She Said.  This colored version makes my cardmaking much easier and quicker.

I made more cards by altering the sketch a little bit.  And I wanted to show some tips that I learned.  I added three photos at the bottom that are showing how to save papers by using punches before you adhere the focal image on to the layering mat.

Birthday Wishes - OWH S&S Sketch #25

Hello~

It has been a while sine I posted last time.  I've been busy since we have moved to our new place.  Now we settled in and I feel more comfortable.  This is a photo of welcoming to our place.  I made the WELCOME frame and the Duncan Family that is hanging on the wall.  It is smaller space and humble place but I like it very much.

Today I made a card for Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #25.  I like this new stamp set, papers and ribbon from Stampin' Up that I can coordinate easier with many choices of colors.  I used the sentiment from Digiment to fit it in the space at the bottom.
