OWH VCMP Fifth Challenge

Donna's Challenge HERE to make a card with the Masking Tape Block Stamping Technique.

My take.  Once I completed the background of my card by masking tape block stamping technique, I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark watermark stamp pad and heat embossed them with the white embossing powder.  I used the embossing resistant technic by using stamping dauber.  I couldn't decide what sentiment would go with this card yet because I didn't want to cover the snowflakes.  I just like how the color turned out.

OWH Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party

Welcome to my Triple Die Cutting Technique Challenge for OWH Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party (VCMP).

I am so excited to participate in this event and have you on my Triple Die Cutting Technique Challenge.  "Triple Die Cutting" is to create the same concept of triple layered card but it is much easier to cut at once with a piece of cardstock and a piece of stamped or desinger paper.  You will love this technique and use it over and over again for every theme of card.

I didn't want to repeat the whole thing and take space here. Please go to my Triple Die Cutting Technique Tutorial HERE before you start.   You may not have the same dies but I encourage you to try by using any shapes of dies you have or even with the paper trimmer that you can cut inside of the paper.  Once you got the whole concept of this technique, it will become easier and fun, too.

EDIT:  Hope this picture will answer to your measurements questions.

Medium dies

Small Dies
** Actual die is sized 2-3/8" instead of 2-1/2".
Just space out evenly when you lay it down.

For today's challenge, I made new sample cards to share.  Instead of stamping as I showed before, I used designer papers this time.  You will need to choose designer papers with repeated patterns in them.

Card #1 Snowflakes

Card #2 Christmas Tree

Blog Candy:
I will pick one of the InLinkz participants at random to receive my blog candy.  It is Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack that I used to make my first card.

You will have until Sept. 8, 2013 to link up and play along!!!

Thinking of You

This designer papers reminded me of the time that my grandfather took me to the circus when I was little.  I thought the sentiment goes well with the tickets and the ball images.  I added three hearts to be related with this card theme.  I hope this card will bring kids the fond memories of their dads or moms.

Triple Die Cutting Tutorial - THANK YOU card

You already know and maybe tried "Triple Stamping" technique.  By the way, it doesn't mean you stamp three times.  You just stamp images on the stack of three sized pieces of papers at once.  Frankly, I was not impressed by the fact of using papers too much to create triple layered card.

Today, I came up with this technique that I would call "Triple Die Cutting" to create the same concept of triple layered card.  One thing to remember as I emphasized at the class for my friends, it is very important to glue it down very well so it won't fall off.  I used Tombow Multiple Liquid Glue.  It works the best to keep any papers (except thin papers that will wrinkle) or objects stay on the card.

Here is my completed card and step-by-step photos.

Choosing the die set size.
For colored cardstock - 2-7/8" x 3-3/4, 2-1/8" x 2-3/4"
For whisper white to stamp on - 2-5/8" x 3-3/8", 1-7/8" x 2-1/2"

Edit:  I used Nestabilities from Spellbinders by combining both the  Classic Rectangles LG set & Classic Rectagles SM set.

I used masking tape to keep two dies securely and not sticky to the paper.

Stamping the images in four different colors.

Layering by aligning the stamped images.

Stamping and punching out the accent flowers.

Assembled flowers. I love the center piece.

What is your parting thoughts?
