OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge - "On the Farm"

I made this card for OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge - "On the Farm".  I bought a digital clipart file - Barnyard Animal from Sunflower Friends.com.  On this card I used only the bunny eating carrot but there are many more images already colored so that it was easy to make it. I printed and pieced them.

I was trying to combine three concept of the Easter theme, on the Farm and Happy Spring in this one card.  However, I felt like a kind of lost somewhere. After struggling for a while, I just added a couple more of flowers. I am not sure yet which is going to be my focal point.  I will ask Paula for her professional artistic view on my cards.  Paula presented the OWH S&S Saturday Seminar Series #1 - Creating a Focal Point  last Saturday, January 29th.  If you didn't take the seminar, please go ahead. You will learn a lot.

Tips for today: Homemade Sponge Daubers

When you ink the edges of your papers or layered mat, you see the different look and you want to do more.  I have classes at work for my colleagues and I would need more of these. I found these huge sponges at Lowes yesterday and I cut them out to smaller pieces.  I tried to ink the cardstock and it worked fine.  So I wanted to share with you.  You need some tools like shown in the photo.  I used a longer tip scissors, Stampin' Up! punch, and a stapler.  Once you cut them into smaller pieces and staple the handle, you will need trim the edges to make it round.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you a blessed day!
