Christmas Wishes

Here are two cards. The first one is my original card. The second one is also my card but I added a poinsettia cut out with a dimensional. It is heat embossed in gold and colored in red on the back to show through. Which one would be your choice if you are getting one?

Cardmaking Tips

Tip #1
I made an extra clear sheet to work with my Stamp-a-ma-jig.
I saved the thick plastic from a package and cut it in to 6 x 6 sized sheet. I decorated it with the washi tape around edges so that it can be found quickly.

Tip #2
I used a coffee filter when I was heat embossing. It keeps the embossing powder in a bowl shape and easy to pour back to the original container.

THANK YOU!!!

Today I received a thank you note from one of the OWH Board Members.

It is so grateful to be recognized as it was written ".... so as OWH celebrates its 2.5 millionth card, we as a Board want to recognize you for helping to make it happen. You are a core element for us with your ten thousand plus amazing cards, awesome Any Hero letters with treats like Starbucks packets and consistent donations.... Thank you, thank you for sharing the vision of Operation Write Home!"

I want to share this, of course, with my loyal supporters and friends: Kathy S., Joanie R., Janet Q., Susan D., Tricia C., and those who (it will be a long list if I add names) have been helping us throughout the time since I have started this project in 2009. Without them, I wouldn't be able to reach the number of ten thousand plus amazing cards. Special thanks to Susan who let us meet at her house to continue our Operation Write Home Cardmaking party every month.

I want to thank to Selene Swiridowsky Kempton and her friends for their donating tons of supplies and beautiful cards for the Troops. I am so blessed to have such wonderful giving people and their friendship.
I want to thank to my blogger friends for their kind encouraging comments on what I have shared on my blog, continual support for Operation Write Home, and creative inspirations that I could get.

THANK YOU!!!

Thinking of You for Dad McGee

Tomorrow, Friday, November 8th is Jack McGee's funeral.
I made this card out of the kit of Everyday Occasions from Stampin' Up!
I miss you, Dad McGee.

I don't know how to start this. Jack McGee and his family have been my only family since I came to California. He has been very kind and supportive for me and David. He loved me and wished me a happy life here. He liked to talk with David. We were invited to every occasion to spend time together. It was a blessing for me.

I prayed God for him to be free from all the pain that he had to be suffering too long. I was there with David and watching him passing away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. I can't see him again and I will miss him a lot. I wish him rest in peace in heaven and watch over his family.

Thank you and love you, Dad! Because of you, I am here.

Baby Wipe Technique - A Fall Card

I spent a day with my friend, Jocelyn, who used to be my co-worker and OWH cardmaker.  She moved down to Fairfield so we couldn't see each other so often as we did.  She drove all the way to meet with me in Sacramento and I shared some stamping techniques that I've been sharing with others.

This is one of cards that we made.

Oh my!  I missed a lot of good stuff, didn't I?

I was stuck with this "unfair" feeling for a while since I haven't got any promotional positions in the same division unfortunately although I was told that I was the best candidate.

I tried to accept it as it was not meant to be mine. Today I spent hours to update my resume and job application for a promotional position in a different division and sent it finally.

I should be able to post my cards once I download pictures from my camera.  Hopefully soon.
