Finished Cards Triage and Good to Go

I haven't had time to create any new cards but only to finish up cards triage.  Since the Christmas cards deadline is only a week away, I was determined to finish it.  It took me almost two weeks after the Cardmaking Party on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011.  I packed up two boxes of completed cards that are ready to go to OWH - 300 cards to Sandy and 200 cards to Dixie. 

There are beautiful cards and some designs that I would like to CASE in future.

OWH Cardmaking Party - Sunday, Oct 9, 2011

Thanks to Susan, Caro Lou, Kathy, Sandra, Carla, Patricia, Bobbie, Tricia, Karen, Catherine and her daughter, Janet for helping me setting up and completing card kits for OWH Cardmaking Party today. We made 35 different designed card kits.  Here are 24 of them as below in the collage.  Once all the kits completed including donated cards, it will be 595 cards total.  Woohooo!

OWH World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop - Oct. 1, 2011

               

Welcome to my blog and Operation Write Home Bloghop on World Cardmaking Day  . 

I've been making cards for the troops with my friends and donated them through the Operation Write Home.  Whenever I hear from heroes that they like our cards very much and happy to write to their loved ones, I am so grateful for what I could do as a small token of appreation for their service and sacrifice to protect our freedom being away from their families and friends. 

I made these two cards for today.  Hope you will like them and get inspired to make cards for the troops.

Cards for OWH

Hello,

It's about two weeks since my last post.  Sorry about that.  There are so many fun challenges at OWH S&S Blog.  However, I couldn't keep up.  Not only busy working but also I have been down physically and emotionally.  Every morning, I had to drag myself to get out of the bed.  Hopefully I can get better soon and bring my energy and creativity back. 

Here are some make-up cards that were from last OWH Cardmaking Party and some additional cards that I made to fill up the second box of 270 cards for OWH.  I sent the first box of 215 cards before the due date for Halloween cards.  So it will be total 485 cards from our group in September.  Great job, everyone!

Mahri's Giraffe Love card

Mahri is 3rd Grade artist.  She drew this image for me to make cards for OWH.  I replaced her handwritten sentiment with my computer generated font.  Other than that, I kept her original image even by piecing.  I like how it turned out.  I used the background papers from Stampin' Up! and heart border punch from Martha Stewart.

Coloring with Reinkers using Baby Wipes - Gratitude

This is so fun technique that you should try if you haven't.  Every stamped image turns out in different shade of colors.  One thing to remind, you have to use glossy papers.
