Operation Write Home WCMD 2014 Blog Hop

http://operationwritehome.org/world-card-making-day-2014/

Hello!

Today is World Card Making Day.  OWH is hosting a Blog Hop through the weekend. There are many OWH cardmakers will be joining the party. Please click Operation Write Home WCMD 2014 Blog Hop to go to the main post on OWH Stars and Stamps blog.

Here is my take on the OWH Blog Hop theme: Love. I used the OWH Fundraiser Stamp Set by the Simon Says Stamp! I like this stamp set very much. It is easy to show my love for this country.

For the focal point, I stamped the image in Midnight Muse colored ink and fussy cut out - "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave."  I stamped the sentiment "Love You" at the bottom in Real Red color.

I embossed the background on Whisper White cardstock by new Stampin' Up!'s Lucky Stars embossing folder. I tied the Real Red colored ribbon over the Whisper White cardstock first and added Navy and White colored ribbons on top of it. I added punched out hearts from the Stampin' Up!'s new Hearts Border Punch.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
With the coming drawdown, OWH will be in need of fewer cards in the future – that includes upcoming holidays. PLEASE READ THIS PAGE before proceeding to make cards, organize events, etc – it’s really really really really important. Did I say really important?
Please check OWH the current needs

I hope you enjoy the Word Card Making Day 2014 and OWH Blog Hop! though the weekend.

I think it is the best way to start a conversation even on the card.
How about sending a "hello" card to someone that has been neglected.

GRATEFUL FOR YOU - Fall cards

I enjoy playing with one stamp set that you can come up with different layout or color combinations or sentiment until I run out of idea. Of course I haven't gone that far.

I made four cards... out of "For All Things" stamp set from 2014 Holiday catalog.

Which one is your favorite?
