OWH Birthday Bash Cardmaking Party in Elk Grove - September 26, 2010

We had our OWH Birthday Bash Cardmaking Party at Elk Grove Grocery Outlet today. Thanks to Kathy, Joanie, Janet, Joan, Belinda, Caro Lou, Carole, Tracy and Karean for coming and contributing to cardmaking for our heroes. It was a great fun day and nice getting to know each other, too!

We made 275 cards at today's Party.  By adding Benlinda's, Joan's and my cards that were ready to ship, the total will be 469 cards.  We had a birthday cake to celebrate the OWH Birthday that my sister made for today's event.  I am so thankful for my husband, David's support for me. He has been patient with me and helping me a lot every time on our OWH Cardmaking Day.

I took all the photos of cards that we made today and wanted to share.

Here are photos.  Enjoy!

Today, I had an OWH Cardmaking Day at Elk Grove Grocery Outlet for the third time. It was a great fun day.  Thanks to Cynthia, Donna (Janet's sister), Janet Q., Janet S., Joanie, Kathy, Mable and Jordan for making cards for our heroes with me today.  Jordan (Kathy's grandson)  helped me the Cuttlebug embossing for the background of snowman cards and missing you dog cards.

I am hosting an OWH Birthday Bash Cardmaking Party on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Elk Grove Grocery Outlet from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m..  With my regular group of cardmakers, some of new experienced cardmakers will join in me making cards for our heroes.  I am so excited about it.

OWH Card Kits & OWH Cardmaking Day - Sunday, August 8, 2010

It was a busy weekend for me.  I had the first group of five girls and a mom for OWH Carmaking Day - Sunday, August 8, 2010.  I made about 120 Card Kits. There were some card patients that need to be treated so I didn't include them in the above photos.

These are simple designed cards.  I used Stampin' Up stamps, sponging technique, punched out stars and Christmas ornaments, cupcake and halloween digi stamps from Digital Doodlings.  The girls were so excited about making cards for our heroes.  They didn't have any cardmaking experience but they did very well.  They were happy to write Any Hero cards as well.

I have the second group scheduled on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at work and the third group on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Elk Grove Grocery Outlet.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day!

OWH Card Assembling Day

Today I had an OWH Card Assembling Day at work during lunch time with my colleagues. We have completed 78 cards and some that are partially finished in about 45 minutes.Simple sketches and all the pre-cut supplies made it easier. Everyone willingly contributed their time and efforts for making cards for heroes. Thanks to them!

These are my sample cards:

These are cards that we completed today.

Happy Volunteers!
