2 Christmas Cards for Challenges

Today I realized that, seriously, I need to make Christmas cards to mail out to my family and friends overseas before it gets too late.  I've been busy making Valentine's Day cards for Operation Write Home.

In order to get motivated, I made these 2 Christmas Cards for Challenges.

Challenge is to make a Christmas card using the colors red, green and white. Also use at least one stamp and one punch somewhere on your card.. I used Stampin' Up Ornament stamp, DSP, Scallop punch and Ornament punch.

For this card, I used Stampin' Up DSP, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Digital Stamp from Spyder, 3D Paint and Copic markers. I love this cute image.

I am entering in the following challenges as well:

Inktegrity Design: Hump Day Inspiration #24 - Anything Goes

Card Maker Paper Party Crop Challenges - BIRTHDAYS

Birthday Ribbon Badge Card
This challenge was to make a birthday ribbon badge with two different types of ribbon.  I made one and put it on to my card.  I stamped dots in three colors to match the patterened paper on the card base. I used the Stampin' Up dotted ribbon border punch.  When the real color riboon is not available, this can be a great tool to create a perfect ribbon with the matching colored card stock.

Ice Cream Bookmark
I simply cut out patterned papers by the template and put them together. I sponged the edges.

Envelope Gift Card Holder
Create a gift cardholder using an envelope.
You can find directions on this tutorial link here.

Pin Wheel
You can find directions on this tutorial video link here.

Party Hat
Make a card that resembles a party hat or a card on which there is a hat.

Over the Hill Birthday Card
Make a card using black, white, and one other color.
This was a great challenge for me. I never thought about making a birthday card in black and white and one other color. My card base is white with a thin border although it doesn't show well in the photo.

Thanks a bunch
Create a thank you card and to use the shabby ribbon technique. You can frey or not frey the edges of your flower...This is where you can find the info on shabby ribbons here

A Beautiful Embossed Birthday Card
You can use embossing powder and a heat gun, dry embossing or a textured store bought paper. No other rules apply to this challenge.

More challenges to come...

This card is for one of Saturday Challenges at Card Maker's Spring Crop.

Here is Terrie's instruction:
You may use any color ribbon but it must be 1/4 inch.
You must have a header, one sentiment & one embellishment.
Stay true to the format of the ribbon they must crisscross.
TIP: Start with the center ribbon from point to point then 1 inch apart.

It was fun to play with ribbon.
