I made three cards today based on the OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #84 although I turned its direction. From a OWH cardmaker's point of view, which one would you like to make for card kits. As Cora wrote on the OWH Facebook, it is time consuming to make card kits. It is easier to complete a card that you can play with more dimensionals and embellishments. So let's focus on making card kits for other cardmakers. Please comment what you think.
Since it was debossed already, I just stamped an image and colored. I added the full moon by sponging a negative side of punched out circle.
For the second card, I cut the image out and layered with a colored cardstock and layered on another cardstock that I trimmed the edges with a die cut. This means that you need to cut two more times. However, it brings out the focal image better.
For the third card, I added the ground by sponging and corners in shape with a corner punch. This means you need to play more techniques and do more work. You might even like to add some more things like blings, buttons or anything. I didn't feel like to do it though. I should keep it easier for other cardmakers to assemble. Otherwise I should do all of these pre-work by myself as usual.
For these cards, I used:
Stamp: Penny Black "Student Witch"
Paper: K&C Company Specialty Paper, SU Cardstock
Ink: Stazon Black, Copic markers, SU ink pad
SU corner punch, black ribbon
I like card number 2 the best, although they are all great.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sue...I like the 2nd card best! All of them are great but for cards kits I think the 2nd one would be easier.
ReplyDeletecard 2 I think you make the image pop this way.

Very cute! I love the little witch & her spider! I think I like 2 best also--but I really like the debossing on 1...but the image does really pop in 2. Nice work! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThese are all adorable, Seongsook! I think I like the second one best. Also I really like how you turned the sketch on it's side. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeletegreat cards, however if I had to pick a favorite I'd go with 2
ReplyDeleteCute card. I'm drawn to card #2. You can even change out the matting color if you wanted...
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the cardstock too- btw.
I actually like the first one best, but #2 is great too. I don't care for #3 and it seems like too much work. LOL
ReplyDeleteCUTE image and I love the moon you added!
Hi Seongsook! I like 1 and 2 and love that sweet Penny Black stamp. Very creative use of those reception cards!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute image! I like the second variation the best. The simple purple border frames the image nicely and will make it easier to do these in kits for sure. Smart use of those panel cards too!
ReplyDeleteWow! All of your cards are terrific! Looks like you did your own card makeover. TFS. -Yvette
