It was our first Operation Write Home Cardmaking Party Meetup in 2011. Thanks to Kathy, Ophilea (Kathy's friend), Carole, Janet Q., Donna A., Shannon (new cardmaker who came with Gypsy!), Joan, Caro Lou, Frances (Caro Lou's friend) and Janet S. for participating in supporting Operation Write Home helping our heroes keep in touch with their family and friends. It was very productive and creative day. We made total 108 cards (including my sample cards) of Happy Birthday, missing you, thinking of you, sending you Butterfly kisses and love. I took the photos with my new camera and didn't come out well. I was not satisfied with it however, I am very tired now so I will keep that way. All the cards are beautiful in person.
* Kathy did the edge of this focal image with her marker's brush tip.
It turned out very nice looking.
* Not so good photo! These cards are prettier in person.
* Oh, I love this little bird - i-miss-you- that I used
the digital image from Mel Jen's Design.
* Janet Q. designed this card. So cute! I need to add a sentiment.
* Donna A. designed this card after playing with some pre-cut papers with Janet Q. and Carole.
* This is the one that Shannon cut out the frames with her Gypsy.
Isn't it beautiful? She made it so easy.
Thanks for stopping by!
These are wonderful. You should do a tutorial on how to throw a card party.

Very nice! Appears that you had a wonderfully productive party. Some others commented asking questions about your party. I hope you will consider a post teaching us how to pull off a successful party!
ReplyDeleteWow these are really great. I'm with Yolanda, a tutorial would be great.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was near, so I could party with you. What fun this must have been. And for such a great cause.
